2nd DNA sent!!

"I'm ready to come home!"

Found out yesterday that our DNA was sent (yippee!) I guess using a different fax machine worked?!? THANKS Tony for setting a fire under some folks. We went in today for Rosalia's final physical from a physician that the US embassy uses. She is up to date with vaccinations and ready to come to America!!

We waited for a ride at the orphanage where Rosalia stayed. I was a little sentimental thinking back when Tony and I first held Rosalia -in the same room where we were waiting. (Picture above.) Now she is walking between the chairs and all around the room.
The next step is for the DNA results to be sent back to the US embassy in Guatemala after it is confirmed that Rosalia is the same child that matches the 1st DNA -which was done when we accepted her referral. It generally takes about a week. After that the embassy will email us our appointment date for going to the embassy for our US visa (called "pink".) The color pink has definitely started to grow on me!

The next time we go to Guatemala City we will be picking up Tony and Joshua!!!! PTL!
We will keep you updated on any news. Can't wait to see you all!
Love, Linda and Rosalia

MAN she reminds me of mom so much..dark hair and eyes..she definitely looks like she has Wurtz blood in her!

i'm thankful that at least today, you guys weren't trying to come home through houston with all going on with the hurricane..i think all the flights in and out are of course completely cancelled from houston..how frustrating would that have been for you guys!

I'm doing the happy dance right now and when I finally read the post of "pink" you'll probably hear my screams of delight.

Hope Tony and Joshua are packed and ready to go.
